![]() Lincoln D. Bandlow Lincoln D. Bandlow is a Partner with the law firm of Fox Spillane Shaeffer LLP in Century City, California. He practices sophisticated business litigation and specializes in litigating Media, First Amendment, Intellectual Property and other entertainment-related matters. Prior to joining Fox, Spillane & Shaeffer, Lincoln was a partner in the law firm of Leopold, Petrich & Smith, P.C., where he represented clients in the motion picture, television, publishing, broadcasting and advertising fields. In addition, Lincoln has represented several of the principal underwriters for the entertainment industry. Prior to joining LP&S, he was in the Legal Affairs Department for The Carsey-Werner Company, a television production company and before that was with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles, practicing First Amendment and Entertainment litigation. Lincoln has tried cases in both state and federal court in matters involving claims for copyright infringement, defamation, right of publicity, right of privacy, trademark infringement and related claims. Lincoln is a frequent speaker on media and intellectual property issues and has written numerous articles for legal publications regarding media law and intellectual property. Lincoln was the President of the Los Angeles Copyright Society during its 2005-2006 term, has three times been named a "Rising Star Attorney" by Los Angeles Magazine and is AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbel. In addition to practicing law, Lincoln has been a Visiting Professor at the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California since the Spring of 1995, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Media and Entertainment Law. He also teaches a course on Entertainment Litigation for the U.C.L.A. paralegal training program, has been a frequent guest-lecturer at Loyola Law School and serves as a Judge each year for the Pepperdine Law School Entertainment Law Moot Court competition. Lincoln received a B.A. in Political Science at UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. Available Titles: |
